Hanoi creates nearly 125,000 jobs in first half of 2024
In the first half of 2024, Hanoi exceeded its annual job creation plan by 75.7%, providing jobs for 124,900 workers. The city disbursed $82.3 million through the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, created jobs for 37,300 workers, and allocated assistance and vocational training. The government sent 2,200 people on temporary contracts to work in South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. Hanoi will focus on ensuring employment for all working-age people, with easy access to seasonal job opportunities in craft villages. The city held 190 job fairs and will continue to improve the quality of job fairs and connect labor supply and demand.
