Hanoi CPI up 5.3% y/y in February thanks to Tet festival
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Hanoi rose 5.28% year-on-year in February, attributed to strong market demand during the Tet festival. Prices in 10 out of 11 sectors increased month-on-month, with sales and online transactions also surging. Local producers had prepared to meet rising consumption during the festival, and after the festival, businesses ensured sufficient supply with promotions and discounts.
