Hanoi's Efforts to Add Value to Vietnamese Products
Hanoi is striving to add value to Vietnamese products in both domestic and international markets, with a focus on promoting domestic food, household appliances, and agricultural products. The One Commune One Product (OCOP) program has helped to improve the quality of Vietnamese products, leading to increased consumer interest and expanded markets. The program has also created jobs and contributed to the upgrading of Vietnamese goods. However, there is a need to meet the market's stringent demands by adhering to technical standards and regulations, and applying science and technology in production. Vietnamese consumers have developed a habit of choosing branded and reputable products, making the establishment of OCOP sites important for promoting OCOP products. The trend of globalization and the boom of e-commerce provide both challenges and opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to build brands and expand domestic distribution channels. Hanoi's Department of Industry and Trade has been coordinating with districts to open sales outlets for OCOP products throughout the city and promote exports.
