Airports of Thailand (AoT) progressing with 70 billion baht plan for new airport in Phang Nga
Airports of Thailand (AoT) is moving forward with a 70 billion baht plan to construct a new airport in Phang Nga, north of Phuket, to accommodate the increasing number of tourists in the Andaman region. The project is part of the Andaman-Lamphun initiative, with AoT allocating 140 billion baht for the development of two new airports. The construction is expected to take approximately four years, with hopes that the airport in Khok Kloi will be operational by 2030-2031.
