Phuket MP warns against potential fires as heatwave hits city
Phuket MP Somchart Techathavorncharoen urges residents to take precautions as the city experiences a heatwave with temperatures reaching 38°C. He advises against creating sparks in fire-prone areas, checking electrical appliances, and staying alert for signs of smoke and fire. The Thai Meteorological Department predicts the high temperatures to persist until early March. The South Western Meteorological Centre also forecasts occasional gusts of wind in the city.
