Rare Himalayan Giant Honey Bees Found in Thai National Park
Himalayan giant honey bees, a rare species, were discovered for the first time in Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park in Thailand. The bees were spotted by a team of biology researchers from Chulalongkorn University and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation. The bees, known for their black abdomen and yellow fur, are crucial for plant population and are significant honey producers. There are concerns about their population decline due to climate change.
