King Maha Vajiralongkorn's Khok Nong Na Model Promotes Sustainable Agriculture
The Khok Nong Na Model, initiated by King Maha Vajiralongkorn, emphasizes a sustainable approach to agriculture and was commemorated on the king's 71st birthday. Wiwat Salyakamthorn, former agriculture minister, discussed its principles and significance. The model, focusing on equal land division for cultivation, pond construction, and housing, has been integrated into the Royal Volunteer School, training citizens in the model. Additionally, the Department of Corrections implemented the model for prisoner farming training, resulting in a significant decrease in recidivism.
