Poll shows majority opposition to Thai amnesty bill
An online poll conducted in accordance with Article 77 of the Constitution showed that 64.66% of participants opposed a draft amnesty bill, while only 35.4% were in favor. The bill aims to pardon offenses since the 2006 coup, including lĂšse majestĂ©. Deputy House Speaker Padipat Suntiphada expressed concerns about the pollâs integrity and instructed parliamentary officials to investigate. The Move Forward Party and Pheu Thai Party are both involved in proposing their versions of amnesty bills, sparking controversy.
