Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister Warns of Sharp Population Decline
Deputy Prime Minister Somsak Thepsutin warned that Thailand could see its population plummet from 66 million to 33 million in six decades. The declining birth rates pose serious economic and security threats, as the working-age population is projected to drop from 46 million to 14 million. Somsak emphasized the urgent need to address this issue, citing alarming statistics from the NESDC.
