Landmark Clean Air Bills Passed in Thai House of Representatives
Thai lawmakers from government and opposition parties, along with a civil society organisation, passed seven Clean Air bills with overwhelming support. The bills, including a government-sponsored proposal for an air cleanliness policy committee, aim to establish comprehensive measures for better air quality and impose hefty penalties on polluters. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin approved the bill and signed it on January 11, marking a significant step in addressing Thailand's air pollution issues.
