Thailand's Ministry of Energy and PTT Provide Relief for Vehicle Owners Amid Soaring NGV Prices

The Ministry of Energy in Thailand, led by Deputy Prime Minister Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, is addressing the issue of soaring natural gas prices for vehicles by forming a working group and extending NGV price assistance. PTT Public Company Limited has announced two phases of price assistance, with the first phase reducing NGV prices to 14.62 baht per kilogramme from January 1 to June 30, and the second phase setting prices at 15.59 baht per kilogramme from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025. Additionally, PTT is considering increasing the monthly gas purchase limit and extending the price assistance period for public vehicles until January 31, 2024.
